Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the FlexiTuner app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

These Terms constitute an agreement between you and the developer of FlexiTuner ("we", "us", or "our").

FlexiTuner is a mobile app that provides microphone-based pitch detection for tuning instruments, along with a built-in metronome. The App is available as a free download, supported by advertising.

The App requests microphone access solely to detect the pitch of the sound it hears (e.g. a plucked string) so it can show you how in-tune it is. Audio is analyzed entirely on your device in real time and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App, except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App.

All content in the App — including but not limited to design, sounds, and software — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You acquire no ownership rights by using the App.

The App is free to download and use, funded by advertising through Google AdMob. You may be asked for consent to personalized advertising; declining will result in non-personalized ads being shown instead.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its pitch detection will be perfectly accurate in every environment.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.

If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply:

• These Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple Inc. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the App.
• In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App, including product liability claims, consumer protection claims, or intellectual property infringement claims.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you upon your acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where we operate, without regard to its conflict of law principles. If you are an EU consumer, you may also be entitled to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.

We may update these Terms at any time. The updated version will be posted at this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
